Me and my friends are having the exact same issue on 4 different accounts, 7 different pc's and 6 different networks. and we've tried multiple names. I've contacted xbox support multiple times and they had their staff check their back-end and they were sure the issue was on mojang's side.
Moved to the Realms section. We are currently looking into this issue and hope to have it resolved soon, but please contact Mojang Customer Support directly if you need specific help or support regarding your Realm.

Although the wording isn't very appropriate, I think the problem might be that the name you've chosen for the Realm is already in use. Have you tried a different name?
