@Mega_spud I've seen you've helped with this problem before. so I hope you can help me with this. so For the past 3 months, I've been using my realm with my friends, until today where we got kicked and this error message appeared
"io.netty.chnnel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception: connection timed out: no further information:"
I've done some looking around for any solutions to my problem, but there isn't any info on this. And after I decided to just run my own server with the world on it. but when I go to download the world, it just keeps "preparing to download' for about 4 hours. and now I'm just trying to do anything to the world it gives me this error
"realms (500): internal server error"
so now I'm just trying to get my realm world. if anyone can help me at all. please, help me.

I've tried to do the same thing. yet after like 4 hours of "preparing download" nothing happens, how long did it take for you to get your world to download? but @Mega_Spud has solved this problem before with another person. but he doesn't tell how to fix it or what to do in this case. hopefully he sees this and helps us out.
UPDATE: I am now able to edit my realms and download the world, which is amazingggggg. so now i just have the "io.netty.chnnel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception: connection timed out: no further information:". I hope it's able to fix its self now
Realms was experiencing some issues overnight, but these should be resolved now:
We had a downtime on Java Realms last night, from around 20:30 to 6:30 UTC, for reasons that unfortunately were not detect by our monitoring systems. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and working on making sure this does not happen again.
I have had the same issue. My friends and I have been playing on my realm for a week now but this morning I tried to join and got 'Internal Server Error - 500'. None of my friends can join the realm either. I cannot close the realm, upload a new world or change any settings. When I try to revert it to a backup it loads forever.
(Luke Hensley, I have been able to get the realm world by downloading the latest backup into my single player worlds)
