I have recently purchased Minecraft Starter for Windows 10 from the Microsoft Store so that i can play with my N Switch friend in a Realm.
Im all set up and logged in with my existing XBox account. However when I click on 'Create New Realm' I get "We're unable to connect to Marketplace...."
All other network apps are working. I've tried disabling the firewall. Same error.

I have the same issue on Windows 10, Can't buy coins nor open or renew a Realm. Internet connection is fine as no other apps have any issues. Also tested on multiple connections.
EDITED to add: I also purchased the starter edition.
Same issue for me on Windows 10. I purchased the Starter Collection and the included coins are not available in my marketplace account.
I would also very much like to get a Realms subscription started, but can't due to this issue.
I've been having the same problem since friday, tried to extend my realm subscription.
My realm subscription ended last night and me and my friends are unable to play now.
I wanted to start a free trial and it says unable to connect to marketplace and this is also happening for my friends
Exactly the same issue for me for the last few days.
Had 30 days trial on the Win10 version. Tried buying 30 day for 10 users within the game itself - unavailable.
Logged into Mojang site. Bought rolling 30 day renewal on the Mojang site.
Still showing as expired .
No reply at all from tech support.
