Realms Server In-Game Time Issue

After the most recent 1.12.1 Minecraft Realms server side update, I've been experiencing an issue specifically regarding in-game time. The issue appeared after the server side update went live and the client side version had not been updated from 1.12.0 to 1.12.1. The breakdown below details the issue and what I believe is a bug on the server side of things, dealing with the in-game clock, almost as though the two are out of sync. I've confirmed that all systems, across the different states and users are on the correct time/date without improvement to the issue. An offline copy of the realm runs without issue on local Xbox or PC hardware.

After in-game time has progressed for exactly 30 seconds some animations are moved back 10 seconds. For example, the sun, moon and clock will appear to jump backward in time. This also appears to affect NPCs movement. The NPCs will not move backward in time, but rather move along in a skipping movement following a tic-tok cadence.

Please see the videos attached to the ticket for examples I can provide. I will be adding more as I get them created.

In conclusion, these issues occur for this realm's user base regardless of location within the USA and using different hardware, networks, operating systems, etc. Three users are on Xbox/iPhone and one is on PC (me). I've tested this on different networks, including a cell networks and the issue still persists. So overall on six different in-home networks, with six different internet providers and each user with a different/unique gametag, the problem still exists. As indicated above, this issue only started when the server side update of 1.12.1 was released.

Are you still having this issue in 1.14.60?

The issue still exists from version to version, but appears to be linked to the amount of AI logic run objects in one area.

Like many other user’s, I had been using a redstone machine to make cooked chicken. What I discovered is that if the machine had too many chickens providing eggs for the machine, then the entire Realm would begin to experience the time issue I mentioned. After removing all the chickens in the machine, the problem was immediately corrected.

It would be helpful if MOJANG could have some form of limit or warning in place to explain the performance impact on the REALM when using this machine’s or housing many AI logic objects like Villagers, Cows, etc.
