Suffocating cat noise

I'm assuming you are the Realms owner and using Windows. If you're not using Windows, the steps below will have to change depending on what OS you're using; just let us know.

1. Go into the settings for your Realms world. Click the Download World button. This will give you a copy of the realm in your list of local worlds.

2. Export the local copy to a file. (The file extension will be ".mcworld".)

3. If the file is < 10 MB, you can simply attach it to this report and you're done. Otherwise continue with the following steps.

4. Upload the file to a file sharing service such as OneDrive or DropBox.

5. With most file sharing services, the service gives you a URL that you can share. People you give the URL to can use it to obtain a copy. Some services also allow you to specify whether they can update the file or only read it. We will only need read permission.

6. Obtain the URL and include it here in a comment so that we can download a copy.

Note that anybody who has access to this report will also be able to download your world, so if you're reluctant to let other people get a copy, just tell us so and we'll make this report Private security so that nobody else can see it besides you and us. You can then publish the URL or attach the world with no risk.

Something went wrong. That .zip file contains a .mcworld file as expected, but the world file should itself be a zip archive (despite the .mcworld extention) containing the saved world files. But in this case, the .mcworld file is an empty archive.

I've tried opening this several times and it just tells me level import failed. Any idea on why?

I've exported the save file. Saved to dropbox. Create link. Open. Fail. Am I missing something? 

Also, side note, the copy of the world does not have cat sounds. So I dont know if I just upload this copy to the realm would be a fix or not.  

Latest one is still empty. Are you trying to export it directly to your DropBox folder? That could be a problem (though I don't actually have any experience with DropBox so I'm guessing). Try exporting it to an ordinary folder, then moving it to DropBox.

Or, if you're using Windows 10 OneDrive, temporarily create a folder there and export or move the file to it. You can then use OneDrive's settings to create a share lin0 to give us. I know this method works because I use it myself.

Nope. Saving it then adding to Dropbox. I’ll try one drive next but if the copy doesn’t have the cat noises do I need to keep trying? I’m ok with using my copy as the new world for the realm. I just don’t know how y’all will troubleshoot if it’s not there. 

I have the same problema in my realm but with dogs

The issue with dogs/wolves is tracked as MCPE-34047

The issue with dogs/wolves is actually very similar. Similarities include:

• That a dying (tamed) animal sound is played at what appears to be an inappropriate time.

• That the sound is heard in a Realms world but not heard in a downloaded copy.

• That a downloaded copy nevertheless still exhibits the issue, because if it is uploaded to Realms, the sounds resume.
  Some additional observations that were reported for some worlds but not tested in all of them:

• The sound is played when a player crosses certain chunk boundaries. (It's unknown whether crossing in both directions causes the sound. It might instead be that it's played when entering or leaving a certain chunk.)

• There's some evidence that it may be associated with a player having many (perhaps 10 or more) tamed animals of that type die in the world.

@unknown: Since the evidence is strong that this is the same issue, I'm going to close this report as a duplicate of MCPE-34047. I encourage you to upvote the parent ticket and watch it for developments, and to add a comment to it if you discover any further information that might help the developers find and fix the bug.

By all means, if you're able to get a useable local copy of your world, please share it with us on the parent ticket. We've had one or two of these worlds uploaded but haven't yet succeeded in reproducing the problem, even after uploading them into our test realms, so we're still looking for one we can use.

Auldirck, Ican't download the map I have in the realm, it says I have insufficient storage space but I have space .. I am following this ticket about downloading my map ... So I can't send my world to you to see why the dogs sound :/

@unknown: I appreciate it that you tried, thank you. ... People frequently get messages about insufficient storage that they misinterpret. Every platform manages storage in its own way, and the game just uses the term "storage" very generically so they don't have to have a different message for each platform. Usually, this message means that there is insufficient storage of some particular kind that depends on the platform. I don't know the details for any platform but Windows 10, but I know they all have multiple kinds of storage and often aren't specific about which one is meant, probably because it's a technical detail needing more explanation than can be given in an error message.

Auldrick.. I try again with the new update and tell me i can download the max of 426MB... I dont understand why because in the official site the mojang say the max is 5GB

@unknown: Sorry for the delay, it's been a busy week for us. I'm not sure why you're getting that message, but 426.7 isn't a round number either in decimal or binary base, so it's not a number a designer would build into the program. I think it must be the maximum amount of memory Minecraft can afford to make available to hold a downloaded world on your device at the time it issued the message. You might be able to make more memory available by shutting down background applications while you download.

I also don't understand where you're seeing the 5GB limit. The "official site" means the Java Edition web site to most people, and we don't normally get simple statements like that about Bedrock because its limits depend on the device it's running on. Where did you read that number? Are you sure it doesn't apply only to Java Edition?

Auldrick, I tried to do what you said .. I did a lot more in reality .. I restored my entire cell phone and just installed Minecraft and the Xbox app (to sign in) .. When trying to download the realm it says it's just possible to download up to 426.7MB ..

Regarding the 5Gb I saw on a site (Minecraft.net) in the part of the answers about the realms where they talk about these 5Gb but do not specify on which platforms (Java or bedrock)
