I switch into creative mode for my realm and get in the game. It is still in survival mode. Logged completely out of the game and tried again. It says it is in creative but it is in survival. Was always able to do this before this last update.

I had created a copy of the realm world to get some nice atmospheric shots for myself. I changed my game mode to creative in the copy, and took the pictures. I hop back onto the realm, to find it's been switched to creative, somehow.

There are several ways the game mode for a world might be changed. Please list the exact steps you tried. Screenshots showing the settings would also be helpful. Be sure to erase any private info (realm link, email, etc) before attaching.

I changed to creative then hit play. It does not change to creative in the game. What other way ARE there to get into creative mode?

Other things to try:
1. Use /gamemode command (if enabled).
2. Close Realm, then change setting, Reopen Realm, then Play
3. Close Realm, download, change setting on local world, Replace world, Reopen realm
Last is not convenient, especially if you want this to be temporary.

My friend and I are both playing pocket edition on android to access her realm. She is stuck in survival even if she changes the realm to creative. I am stuck in creative mode on her realm and my realm no matter the world setting.

Let's be clear. Do not type /gamemode command and send. Type /gamemode creative or /gamemode survival. Also to be clear to use /gamemode you have to type it into the chat. Sorry I'm kind of a noob and use /gamemode command means nothing to me unless you specify HOW to use it.

I have a similar issue. IPad Pro playing Realms. When I log into the Realm it is always in Creative even if I have changed this to Survival in the World menu. I can force it to switch to Survival in game with commands just not how it use to work.

So just to clarify, did anyone get a solution here or did the devs just decide to ignore this problem and hope it goes away, because I tried to open my realm today and if there isn't a solution, I want my money back.

I had this issue right after the 1.16 Bedrock update. I play on Xbox one. The update had changed my settings. I had to download my world from the realm, then go into the game, then into the settings and change my personal game mode to default. After that, it now changes with whatever I have the game set on.

We have the same problem with our Realms+ world playing on iOS where the REALM OWNER ONLY is stuck in the original mode. We had the realm created with Creative mode and have switched to Survival. All members can log in again and get survival, except for the realm owner which is stuck in creative.

When we attempt to change game mode via commands it will only change the mode for whoever enters the command. (personal gamemode)
