[REALMS-719] Cannot join my own realm after crash

After exiting the end on my realm the game crashed. Now everytime I join my realm it crashes. I am the only one on my realm affected by this atm. This has been going on for close to a week now. I have also tried to join on other devices and they also crash when I try to join my realm.

I have experienced this same issue. Are you able to log into other realms unaffected by this issue? Also, what devices did you try specifically?

So this happened again on another realm. We defeated the end dragon and I went through the exit portal and disconnected. Now minecraft crashes everytime I try to log into the realm. This is the second time this has happened after starting over on a new realm and spending weeks building up to the ender dragon fight. I have tried all of the general options. Resetting the xbox uninstalling minecraft and re installing it. I have tried to connect on windows 10 and on my cellphone all of which crash as soon as the realm starts to load. This is only happening to me as other players on the realm did not experience any issues. We have 2 other xbox one players and a pc player on our realm at tye time we defeated the ender dragon and I experienced this issue again.

Nicholas, how many friends and followers do you have on your Xbox account? I feel like I saw a topic earlier that was similar to this one, claiming that there might be a link between this issue and follower count.

28 total. I did try the appear offline trick and not logging on until after you launch the game. I read a lot about the phantom squad issue and tried all the fixes.

Sorry for the massive amount of questions Nicholas, my buddy is suffering from the same issue and you've provided a ton of detail. Have you been able to log on without wifi enabled? Hotspot perhaps?

I hope Mojang can get to the bottom of this. I know they are hard at work, but my friend has suffered from this same issue, and this is the second realm we've created. What's worse is that the only reason I bought this game was to play with my friends. I already owned the Java version.

I know this isn't necessarily at the highest priority, but I'd say this is one of the most important issues affecting players on realms it would appear. It's one thing for an item to not function correctly, but not being able to log in to the realm is downright game breaking.

A question for devs I would pose is, aside from the launcher automatically sending bug reports, and the thing I read earlier about followers and wifi, what might the status of this bug be? Do we have any leads on what might be the culprit here?

You and me both. Theres no fun in playing a game that breaks after you do one of the biggest accomplishments. I've already lost two survival worlds to this not going to attempt a third.

So I am playing around on my phone trying everything i can think of. I was able to get the game to load the credits after you leave the end portal. I tried skipping the credits and this resulted in the crash. I let the credits play through but I was disconnected from the server before they ended. I set all video settings on my phone to the lowest possible settings and disabled every option... baby steps

I lowered every graphic setting on my Xbox and the credits are rolling but when I tried skipping it didn't let me I'll give an update when their done rolling...Update: they finished rolling and said disconnected from server I'll see if I can get someone to destroy my bed or reset end and I'll check back

Zechariah, thanks for testing that, that's super helpful! I suggested to Nicholas to rush the end on creative and then change it to survival to kill the dragon and jump through the portal to help reproduce. Once again thanks a bunch!

Just thought of what might have caused it but I could be wrong and this is a guess... I joined the realm for the first time after the end dragon was killed so I'll try logging on with another account later and see if the same thing happens

It did not. My friends and family started a new realm this weekend and I am henceforth banned from entering the end portal until the issue is resolved...

guys, resetting the end fixed it this time...i spawned sitting in the bedrock portal frame unfortunately i died but i can play...do not kill the dragon before you join back and leave the frame, not sure if im able to go to leave with the portal but ill see if it happens when i kill the dragon

@mega_spud - I see that this one is still unassigned and it's been exactly 3 months (from today) since the last comment on this one. I see that @@unknown ( @cwckr ) added a label of "bedrock" to this in March. Could you potentially see if this could be assigned to someone on your team or if anyone can provide an update please?
