On the page https://my.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft/#owned the link that links to the purchase place for gift codes (which is https://account.mojang.com/buy/minecraft?agent=minecraft) directly links users to the Amazon US purchase page for gift codes, which is only available to a very limited amount of countries. Meanwhile, other Amazon sites around the world do offer it (example: UK), but all users globally are sent to the US website.

I am unable to purchase an online gift card for a friend.
1. I tried purchasing it from the Mojang website from my own account (which has worked several times previously) but it redirected me to Amazon US, and I am unable to purchase it from their because it never goes past the Cart page.
[media]2. I logged Into my friends account and tried purchasing it from my credit card, 2 of my cards failed, so another friend of mine tried purchasing it from his card (he lives in Canada). But it failed for him as well. The error says something like:
"Unable to purchase, check your card info"
My card info is perfectly fine, I use that card frequently for online purchasing Internationally.

Its not available on amazon.ca, and US site is not working for me either. I have purchased 3 copies of this game and always from mojang.com. I don't think it should be such a hassle purchase a copy of the game.
secondly https://mc.163.com/ looks very shady to me so I am just going to pass on this.
Also if I am going through https://my.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft/ which is the "General Way" of purchasing, and it does go to very end. It just rejects my card payment stating my card information is wrong, which I assure you is not. My bank says they have never received a request for online payment to reject in the first place.
Please contact your bank and make sure that the payment method allows international payments, and that there a no other limitations on it. If that does not work, please try a different payment method.
As a note, mc.163.com is for the Mainland Chinese market only.
I have already mentioned this, I have checked with my bank, they never got any request for online payment. I have tried with 4 different cards, 2 overseas from Pakistan, 1 from Canada, 1 from US. I frequently use all 4 of these cards with my amazon.ca, bestbuy, and other bunch of online services I frequently use.
I only wanted to notify Mojang of the problems that are occurring, You can also goto #community-feedback channel of the official discord server. People are complaining about the same issue, I don't really care if Mojang is perfectly fine with loosing their sales due to a petty issue that is being ignored like that.
Secondly, you can go ahead and close the issue. I have lost interest in this and do not want to further proceed with the purchase either.

Please also try checking if you can buy it from your local Amazon website (for example, the game is sold on the Amazon page for the United Kingdom & Ireland).
