INVALID REGISTRATION when registering with certain email providers

From a few hours ago, players cannot use emails from certain providers to register on Minecraft.net; an INVALID REGISTRATION error will show instead.

Some affected providers (incomplete)

  • @qq.com

  • @foxmail.com

  • @sina.com

  • @hotmail.com

  • @outlook.com

  • some custom domains

BTW, QQ is a large email provider in China which has over 300 million users, so this bug has a great impact on Chinese players.

confirmed for outlook.com

Please consider reopening this issue, @unknown. This is not a duplicate of WEB-1647.

Multiple users has reported this bug under that ticket in just a few days, thus we can say that this is a new bug which occurred recently.

👍 I'll reopen the report since I've been seeing an increase in these reports as well.

As commented in WEB-1647:   I was able to create an account using my own domain. Issue is solved for me.

We believe the issue now has been resolved.

It works for me now, with my richvanderwal.com custom domain. Now my son has his own account! Thanks!

I'm unable to register a new account too. I tried different email adresses of my families Provider Domain, which is  @online.de

Any hints ?

Thanks,

Ulrich

I can confirm this problem aswell with my 2 other domains.

my @rightawake [dot] com and @mc4tnt [dot] xyz I couldn't register an account but I'm able to switch it back to it if registered with a @gmail address.

Somehow with my [dot] ca domain it worked. Shall I contact Mojang for this issue?

THIS IS NOT RESOLVED

Just did it on yet another customer domain and it failed.  The verification codes never send.

Is this some sort of SPA thing or something?  It would be easy for me to fix if I had any idea what your mail server was looking for.
