Hi,
I am being forced to migrate my childs Mojang Account to a Microsoft account.
I have started that process from the launcher according to https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4403192913933 but I never get to step 8 (enter the parent/guardian’s email address and click Send Email").
Instead I get this nice Microsoft infinite wait animation, which as the name suggests never finishes:

P.S.: The migration process did work for my other two children.

I am afraid that your response does not help me. Searching for solutions just leads me back to this request tracker. I have no idea which support channels to choose.
I am quite confident that someone on your side might be able to connect this ticket to right person on the Microsoft side who can solve this issue.

You can open a ticket with our support staff to see if they have some known workaround, but they will probably also send you over to Microsoft support I'm afraid.
I've closed this bug as resolved/invalid because there is nothing from Mojang's side that can be done about the issue, given we do not control the actual authentication mechanisms. It does not actually mark the issue for you as reported as resolved, however.
Hi, Just for the record I tried again and the problem persists.
Thanks for the link. It gives very much the same experiece as the original problem: It just shows an "endless wait" animation.
As you do not seem to be empowered to solve my issue, I would like to be connected to your manager so I can better explain my expectations as a customer.

For the record: My issue is resolved. The problem was related to my adblocker plugins (Adblock Plus and/or Privacy Badger) which seemed to interfere with the account creation on for the microsoft account. When I disabled these privacy plugins for the account creation, it worked just fine.
It would be nice if the documentation would create a well visible hint or better yet if the account creatioin would work with proper privacy enabled.
Hi Peter! I am sorry you are having trouble migrating accounts. It seems you are getting stuck on the authentication pages provided by Microsoft - I am afraid we have no control over these and can't assist you here. From Mojang's point of view we are waiting for your account to through the Microsoft steps before you are returned back to our site and we complete the migration.
I'd recommend that you contact Microsoft support as they should have the necessary tools to investigate what is going on with your - or your child's - Microsoft account.
