Go to the setting up a server wiki for instructions.

Incorrect URL (current):

https://minecraft.wiki/w/Tutorials/Setting_up_a_server

Correct URL (expected):

https://minecraft.wiki/w/Tutorial:Setting_up_a_Java_Edition_server

The page on the wiki was changed to also take Bedrock Edition into account. The new link is only about Java Edition specifically.

yo the don't use the the minecraft wiki they too captitalistic with the ads, and is never updated also

Minecraft Wiki forked from Fandom to https://mc.wiki and doesn’t currently have any ads. It has 905 active users updating it.
