“Different Minecraft Editions” from Minecraft Help may be outdated

Affected article: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360034753992-Different-Minecraft-Editions

The Minecraft for Nintendo Switch 2 is not put to the article, and the Super Mario Mash-up Pack is the most ported mash-up pack (I have ever did, some thanks to bugs on official versions, including but not limited to MCPE-243495), meaning community ports of the mash-up pack are more common / important than others, the footer also reminds of racism. Overall the article is / may be outdated.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Visit  https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360034753992-Different-Minecraft-Editions

  2. Search for “Switch 2” and / or “Nintendo Switch™ 2“

  3. Search for “The Super Mario Mash-Up” and / or “The Super Mario™ Mash-Up“

Expected result: Step 2 should be possible as Minecraft for Nintendo Switch 2 is available (at least for pre-orders), and step 3 should not be.

Observed result (see “No Switch 2 version, but racism in Different Minecraft Editions.png“): For step 2, it yields zero results, for step 3, There’s a result, and it leads to “... The Super Mario Mash-Up is playable only by Nintendo Switch owners in single-player, split-screen, local network, and over Nintendo Switch Online.”, the former contradicts the fact that Minecraft for Nintendo Switch 2 was available (at least for pre-orders), the latter is the reason the Super Mario Mash-up Pack is the most ported mash-up pack.

Note: For Minecraft for Nintendo Switch 2, based from this report’s submission date, https://www.minecraft.net/article/pre-order-minecraft-for-nintendo-switch-2 , and not counting pre-order, it will be less than a day before the article is outdated.

Workaround to the (racist) reminder in the footer: Use Hide Distracting Items if using Safari:

  1. Click the reader / options button

  2. Select Hide Distracting Items

  3. Click the box / text highlighting “The Super Mario Mash-Up is playable only by Nintendo Switch…“

  4. Click the tick icon

You may need to do it everytime you done such in a private tab, or if the article is updated, but items hidden in non-private tab stay hidden in private tabs as long as the article is not updated.
