My cousin experienced a more serious version of this where, instead of taking damage, the entire biome the portal appeared in reverted to its original state, taking the portal along with it. We had built a bunker that the portal was contained in that ceased to exist for a few seconds.

The issue you're describing is being tracked at MCPE-169059.

How to recreate: Go to the realm (name: HUNTR SMP) on a Nintendo Switch, sleep in a bed or open a single chest and wait. You should receive the message: A communication error has occurred. Shortly after, you should be disconnected from the server. I also think it’s worth mentioning that I was signed out of my Microsoft account as well each time this occurred.

I was the only one logged off, but the only person who was playing with me when this occurred was the owner, who was playing on Xbox. This realm was the only one affected by this bug (I don’t have other realms though). I’ll ask the owner for the seed and comment it here as well. It might help to know that I am also signed out of my Microsoft account when this happens.

Understood. Also, by the way, when the character appeared to clip through the floor, that was not what had happened. The entire cobblestone bunker was above ground, and we hadn’t covered it in soul sand. It was like the entire biome reverted to its original state for a few seconds.
