I had this issue.
I found my drivers outdated (by 2 days!) and fixed them, but it didn't fixed this. Also, my java was up to date. Did the memory thing and it seems to be working fine now (or at least as well as it did before).
Specifically, I changed it from 1G to 5G on the profile. Although now the memory allocation says 4551 instead of 49xx like it used to when I did that for 1.8.9. Not sure why this is but probs worth making a note of.

(This was the original issue I had, traced back through the duplicates to the intel thing... I think its the same issue, but I don't agree its the driver at fault)
