@@unknown You are correct! It applies to Kelp as well (I'll update the title). And yes, the water should be drawn and the plant should break.
Confirmed in 1.18.2-Pre release 1
Can this issue be assigned plz? It's almost a year already. Thanks!
@@unknown I think they don't spawn (at least) in bubble columns anymore. Since they already fixed an "intentional" issue, there's still hope for the other ones as well. fingers crossed
Still a problem in the snapshot 22w03a!
The most important problem of them all is that they spawn in flowing water which makes no sense. They can even spawn in edge of the water flow in which the water is roughly a few pixels tall, thus they can suffocate at the very exact block they spawn in.
It would make more sense if they had some spawning restrictions like light, block underneath, or more than 1 height water sources. Much like how Axolotl's work now (Clay Block, etc).
Right now it breaks a lot of people's farms/builds that were built in previous versions below level 30 before Glow Squids were released (water streams, item elevators, pools, aquariums, etc). It would be more useful if Glow Squids were spawning below level 0 so old servers' farms wont have such an issue.
I hope Mojang will do something about the Glow Squid issue. Right now it became a disaster for some old servers.
It was issued as a bug in the past and got resolved. Now it appears again with the new spawning mechanics for Glow Squids. Why is it Invalid now? They are once again breaking people's farms as they used to do back then.
@@unknown Isn't it about time though? 4 years since it got reported.
Why isn't this bug fixed yet? It still exists in 1.17.1 pre-release-2 and has been around since 2018.
The bug still exist!! My new Bees have disappeared once more.
@@unknown Maybe it's been fixed, I don't know yet. I have an active Honey farm that I was constantly refilling it with new bees each time the old ones got dissapeared. I will keep an eye now to see if those ones glitch as well or not.
Sure I'll do that! Thanks!
UPDATE: Ok Bats seems to spawn there so nevermind (I just tested it), maybe it's supposed to be No-hostile only after all.
@@unknown Isn't it supposed to be NO other mobs in general and not only hostile? Even if you start a superflat world with just grass you wont get Sheep, etc to spawn on it either. I doubt Bats can spawn either.
@@unknown Just to mention that to me it happened even in the overworld not only in the End/Nether dimension
But doesn't the main hand "fail" to give another flower?
But the "old" worlds work up until this snapshot. We can't play in the new ones. If this isn't fixed we cannot open and play in our worlds again until (I guess) the full 1.17 version is released.
Further investigations showed me that the Villager WILL unclaim the bed eventually if moved 100+ blocks away, but the mechanics are weird. Here's the results I came up with:
You get a Villager to claim a bed and a working station(optional).
You move the Villager far from both the working station and the bed at least 100 blocks away.
At the upcomming noon (time set 6000 in game) the Villager first unclaims the working station and he loses his profession.
AFTER he unclaimed the working station, at nightime, after around time set 13600 in game, THEN he finally unclaims also his bed.
NOTE: The Villager must unclaim FIRST the working station and THEN the bed. If a "noon" in game hasn't passed yet for him to unclaim the working station he will NOT unclaim the bed in the next time=13600. He waits for a "noon" first and then for the next "night". Weird! At least Villager breeding farms will continue to work gladly. Just move the new Villagers 100+ blocks away and wait for noon-night timings to kick in. 😉
If someone has more info about this mechanic please post it here in the comments. Thanks!
I actually found the issue! They spawn only on top of Stone not Grass. Creating a superflat world with stone surface will make them spawn just fine!I am not sure if it's intented to be that way though.
