Same with me: when I light a fire on a dry sponge and when water flows to it, the water source will disappear and you will only be left with a water source on sponge. If you happen to break the sponge underneath, the water will float, this means that you can make a water table.

Yep, I saw the minecraft wiki. Ice does not catch on fire, same in the nether. I shouldn't have made this issue without checking the wiki. Just pretend this issue isn't here.
