the same thing is Happening too me but the problem is my .minecraft folder is different bc I deleted it and restarted my computer then when I got back on my .minecraft my folder was completely different
I Don't have All The Files Its Versions, Assets, launcher_logs.txt and launcher_profiles
It has happened to some people but my .minecraft is different to others when I deleted it and reinstalled mc
