I was having this problem on Nintendo Switch. I heard that archiving and redownloading Minecraft was a possible fix but didn't attempt it as I wasn't willing to risk losing my worlds. Well, I ended up doing it and can confirm that archiving Minecraft does fix the problem (and at least for me). I didn't lose any world data so if you use a Nintendo Switch, here's your fix.
