Seems like the terrain used to go darker too. Even though the daylight sensors detect the drop in light level, visually it's the same exact brightness in rain vs thunderstorm.
Confirmed for 1.6.2
I know right? It's been a bug since Beta 1.5 when weather was first introduced.
That was an accident. Sorry I meant to click the snapshot next to it. Although, I'm sure it will still be in that future version anyway come think about it... >.>
That Happened To Me Too! Now It Kicks Me Every Time I Go On 😞
Ok, sorry to sound like a noob. I didn't know "Community Consensus" also meant "Confirmed". I'm curious though, what's the difference between the two anyway?
Can someone AT LEAST confirm please? Is this being removed from the game or will it eventually be fixed? I know 99% of you don't give a crap but come on now, four months and no confirmation? >.>
I found a good way to trigger this glitch is to idle for a couple of minutes in the same spot and once all the chunks closeby load, then proceed to walk in one direction where I'm 95% certain you will see a line of missing chunks. Oh and have VSync On.
Yeah, I didn't notice until now that you mention it. I can confirm this although I can't confirm it OFFICIALLY... Thunderstorms suck even more now...
I wasn't mixing up biomes. I know the difference between the two. Just saying that this was probably the biome data that the beta sky dimension used before it was replaced by the end which uses a different sky graphic by the way. The nether is quite dark but that doesn't seem to affect the sky in the overworld. Bottom line is I was just wondering if changing the dark sky in the overworld would affect the End since the skies use different graphics. That's all...
no
YAY!! Thanks so much for fixing. No more setting up thunderstorm detectors. 😛
