Yea its not that. This happens close or far.

No the initial splash as the bobber hits the water is a little light but it can be heard. When the bobber goes underwater, when you need to pull it to get your fish there is no sound like there used to be to let you know to pull the fish in. I jumped in the water and it does seem like that sound is a little on the light side as well.

I cannot hear it either. Bobber goes under but no splash sound.
