Indeed, I had updated the world few updates ago and it works fine now. I have my backups on Google Drive and can provide links, but I would rather not share them publicly.

Yes, this is still happening in 1.19

I had tried updating the 1.17 world backup from November straight to 1.19.0, and had other random chunks corrupted with void wells or overwritten, even in the Nether. The world crashes with corrupted error after few minutes of playing.

I have tried updating it through Chunker, but I assume the same thing happens there too.

Here's Chunker error codes from three attempts I made

@umija5895m For me this is happening on Android. Notifications used to pop out on the top of the screen (similar to when I purchase something on marketplace), but stopped snowing up somewhere around "Village and Pillage" release, can't recall exactly at which version.

I confirm that. Notifications in-game stopped showing up for achievements and for world invites as well at the same time few months ago. I think it might be connected to that bug.

I made sure to check all the settings in Xbox account (there's only one setting responsible for this as far as I can tell), and everything set up properly on both ends. Clearing app data and cache, as well as reinstalling the game, does not resolve the issue.

I've enabed "invites only" in world multiplayer settings. I clearly remember that I was able to invite my online friends earlier this year, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. When I open pause menu, tap "invite to game", check a friend and tap "send 1 invite", nothing happens on friend's side. Previously this person would see a pop-up notification at the top of the screen and was able to tap it to join my world. I also tried inviting myself from friend's world and also didn't get the notification on my end.

I just found a way to fix the world! It is described in this Reddit comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/MCPE/comments/8akbbz/fix_corrupted_world/dwzc8fd

Quote: "If you know the seed of the world, create a brand new world with the same seed in survival (you should know the seed from the backup world). Then go into the files (games>com.mojang>minecraftWorlds) and copy the level.dat file from the brand new world with the same seed to your corrupted world, and replace the old level.dat file with the new one. You will keep your builds, inventory, chests, and any players that had joined your world beforehand will keep their items as well. If you had ever done some creative cheating your xbox live achievements will turn back on again. The drawbacks are that you won't be able to use experimental features, and you won't be able to copy your world in game, but you'll still be able to copy it in the files."

Same thing on Android, added a screenshot. Game version 1.12, Android 7.0
