I’m currently on the 1.16.0.63 Beta and I’m having this issue. Here are my failed spawn tests in which spiders have spawned, but shouldn’t:
2 high w/trapdoors (for creeper farms) with every 2 spaces on X and Z covered with a slab. Spiders spawn.
I’ve done the same as above, but tried every other space instead of every 2. Spiders spawn.
I’ve used slabs and carpet to prevent spider spawning, it seems the 3x3x2 requirement isn’t accurate at the moment.
Are your friends using the Beta?
It’s a Beta Bug...I’m having this issue as well. It started with the release of 1.16.0.61. They will fix it in the next 2 updates I imagine.
Scare mechanics are now being incorporated into the Bedrock version. Essentially, the villagers need 3 things to spawn an Iron Golem:
Jobs
Beds
A nearby threat (zombies are best)
They will then begin to spawn a golem. There are a few videos on youtube for the Java Edition that details how the scare mechanics work, but I haven't found a good tutorial on how to build one yet.
Confirmed. Gold will not smelt in the blast furnace, and the regular furnace.
Randomly spawning in the air and dying has happened again, but this time I didn’t fall in the same place as the last three times which means recovering xp/gear isn’t fully possible anymore.
So, update on how to reproduce this effect: I’m currently exploring an adjacent area for mapping, but this time I’m on foot with no issue so far. Last time, I was on horseback and the issue arose roughly every 400 blocks. On foot, I’ve gone over 1000 blocks with no issues yet.
This RARELY happens, so I have no idea how to reproduce this effect unfortunately. It may take a while to have it happen to you during testing.
So, after being off of it for that day, I just got back on and everything’s working fine. Not sure what caused it, nor what made it work since there hasn’t been an update to my knowledge since then.
Whether it’s not supposed to work that way or not, the current version now makes it a complete waste of time to even try and get a discount. The new “discount” only takes 1 off your total. I would rather pay full price now instead of this. Why would anyone even bother at this point to cure any villager. I’d be okay having the price cut by 25%, preferably 50%, but paying say, 49 instead of 50 is insulting. I get we’re trying to basically be like Java, but this shouldn’t have to match them...OR Java gets switched to how Bedrock was before 1.16.100.51.
