I am encountering the identical issue on my Windows 10 PC, attempting to log into the MCD launcher. I attempted the two work arounds suggested above (results in blue):
Remove the .minecraft_dungeons folder found in %AppData%
Removed the .minecraft_dungeons folder in %AppData%, restarted MCD Launcher, same result (login failed)**
Open Credential Manager found under User Accounts in Control Panel and delete all entries related to Minecraft Dungeons (Launcher)
Opened Credential manager, no entries exist related to MCD Launcher
