Is this problem ever going to be addressed?
It's been going on for months. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing works! The only way to keep my villagers alive without babysitting them is to play in peaceful. That's not how we love to play. Please fix this asap!

In the first snapshot i can, with the second hand, place and destroy blocks, at the snapshot 15w35e it isn't possible.
