Obviously.. but its a major problem, and if there aren't enough votes in the other stated problem maybe since more people are posting the same problem they will see it as a problem needed to be resolved imediately. All the hundreds of others bugs are just noob bugs, but this bug is core to minecraft and farming. Only experienced players building automatic farms will come across this problem.

I have found this same problem as i built a mob farm over an ocean to build height with no spawns at all, this needs to be resolved immediately.

I had this same issue happen to me in single player as i was exploring my world on a horse the game suddenly crashed. When i loaded back up the horse i was riding, with its saddle was gone.
