I'd like to add in that what caused this to happen for me was playing on one computer and then switching to another one in <5 minutes. I could do anything on the first computer and it seemed to save, but the second computer is what seemed to cause it to "forget". Checked this morning though and movement and minor building I had done a day ago was still there on both computers, so..tentatively it's okay?

This affected me a yesterday, erased ~10 hours of work and kind of ruined my weekend (I did like 5 hours of work, it got erased, I re-did it thinking it was a one time thing, logging off and on multiple times, but then later that night it was erased, so I got a double dose). If it can't be recovered, oh well, but I'm not going to play until you guys fix it, just paid (on the 8th) for a renewed subscription so...hoping this can be worked out soon.

Did a test where I moved to a new location during my lunch break just to see if it saved it and now after work, seems like it did. Still holding out until the issue is marked resolved, not keen on wasting time anymore haha

I started having this EXACT same issue just a few days ago. About 10 hours of work was erased, and having checked it just now even me moving my character around to verify this was reverted to an older "save" or whatever they use for Realms.
