Updated to indicate that 0.15.2 is also affected by the same problem. Confirmed again that it is active LAN, Multiplayer, etc. settings that cause this problem to generate.
UPDATE: Have discovered that this problem occurs when the device is connected to the net. If either 1) no internet available or 2) Multiplayer and LAN options are turned off, then the game will load and play.
Have replicated this problem on two different iPad minis.
Would be interested if this problem can be replicated now!

@rplatham Everything is default. Vanillia textures and Steve as the player skin.
@rplatham, respectfully, no, this is the identical problem. Have tested on 2 different iPad minis to replicate it. Running latest iOS, then upgraded to 0.15.0. Open game, options screens are ok, but when attempting to load or create a new world, it crashes out to the iOS home screen following a "black screen" flash. One iPad has several existing worlds and often makes it so far as to load them, but then crashes out within seconds. iPad 2 has no existing worlds, so after hitting Create it tries to build the terrain, but crashes out in identical fashion a little over half way through the loading process.
Tested both with and without Xbox log in. Identical results.
Have opened another ticket as you have requested, but this is definitely the same problem.
Have now tested a second iPad mini with the same results. Identical configuration, iOS version and game version. Blacks out of game a few moments after loading and back to the iOS home screen. They are not logged into Xbox. Options, config settings, skins, etc. all work without problem.
Worth noting that iPad number two was upgraded to the latest iOS as was MCPE to 0.15.0 to generate the problem. Was working fine when operating on its previous version.
Can confirm that this is a thing. IPad mini, plenty of storage room, not jailbroken, good network contact. Upgraded to 0.15.0 after never having any problems of any sort with MCPE in previous versions. After upgrade, Mojang loads, main screen loads. Skins, Xbox login, options, etc are all ok. All old worlds from previous versions are gone, and so clicked create (creative). Building terrain screen, gets about half way then crashes out to iOS home screen. When trying again the failed world is now on the menu with a 0.0kb size. Deleted to old worlds, tried again, same results. Have tried with Xbox live logged in and not logged in, no change.
This is more than a minor bug. It's a complete show stopper for the program. Take a look at the comments on the App store!
Lets get this back on track!
I have tested this problem on two different iPad minis and after a lot of back and forth have come up with the following:
1. The crash will occur during terrain building or just after loading an existing world.
2. It will occur IF LAN, Multiplayer, Xbox, etc online options are turned on.
3. If there are NO internet connections at all, Minecraft will work without problem.
4. This indicates that there is a connectivity issue at work here. It would be useful for all affected users to try their Minecraft PE without any internet, 4G, etc. see if it will run correctly. If it does, we will be a lot closer to finding the answer!
Please post your results here!
