I have a similar experience but the person that joins my world is on Xbox One, so I don't think it has much to do with what device you are using... not really sure.

So is it fixed or not? The 1.17 version was just added

Has this issue been resolved for sure? I would really appreciate if this could be re-reviewed for the 1.17 update so that I don't go blindly into paying $8 for a month of the realm for it to have the same issue again.

That isn't exactly what I meant, but an idea for fixing that is to download the world file, reset the realm, upload the world file back and then load the correct resource packs that you DO want on the realm. That is the only way I can see that issue being solved until the bug is fixed.

The way the title of this reported bug was redone does the issue no justice. The fact is that this bug makes it impossible to upload resource packs to the realm at all which in turn forces realm owners to resort to either close their realms or completely change their realm to something different.

Having this issue. Packs will act as though they have been added but instead all of the packs on the realm are removed and you cannot add them or any others either.

I am currently experiencing this same issue. I tried loading a behavior pack into my realm that had existing packs and now neither of my realms are accepting packs nor do they have any packs enabled. It acts as though the packs have been uploaded but it's like I didn't select them in the first place, even though I know I surely have.

I am having the same issue with my realm. I appreciate you Cullen for working on this, I really hope that we can get this fixed soon. I really want my players to be able to post about things on a club that is tied to the realm.
