Please read the actual description before making such a determination. This is the second bug I have had closed saying it is a duplicate when it is nothing like the supposed duplicate. I am not submitting a bug based on quasi-connectivity, or power from a diagonal source. I am submitting a bug about a piston receiving a signal from nowhere. Again, please read the actual bug before making such a determination. Reopening.
This is not a duplicate of MC-315, as this bears no resemblance whatsoever to that bug. This is not, and was never a superflat world, nor was there any existing world that was deleted then recreated. As I said in the original post, this is a NEW world created AFTER the 1.7 update, and it uses a NEW, never used, world name. I have attached another picture showing how the amplified chunks stop suddenly, then normal chunks pick up after that, just as suddenly with some water in between them.
You are going to need to provide a bit more information about what exactly is happening and what steps can be taken to reproduce the problem. This will help tremendously in fixing any bugs.
This was in a single player world, and the name chosen, 1.7 test, was a completely new name. I am led to believe that the chunk errors are somehow a result of the new amplified world. It seems that the single player server doesn't know how to "end" the amplified areas and so it abruptly cuts it off and begins generation of regular terrain.
