YA can't mark it as resolved when the solution didn't work.
I have tried even changing it to XP then back to windows 8, as high as it will let me go! HELP ME!
In older updates, you were not able to trade with villagers.

My version is the most recent edition of windows, not XP, or vista. Same white screen.
what does geen wool look like in the texture pack? are you sure its the same?
