Tried this solution and I’m still having the problem. As others have said, Minecraft appears to be useless on the Fire and my son is very bummed.
I thought I'd changed the storage settings in my son's account but I must've been logged on as myself. When I tried the Michael Dawson method - changing the settings while in the child's account - it worked. Thank you, sir!
