I’ve seen in other posts that removing .minecraft/webcache2/Default/Preferences temporarily fixes the issue, but you have to remove it every time you open the launcher. This did not work for me, just giving me a crash upon pressing play, so I switched to ATLauncher for the time being.

Here I am again… That did not fix it… Once you reopen the launcher it breaks again…

Moving away the .minecraft folder into another file and reopening the launcher fixed it for me, you just have to move back all of your important stuff, like modded profiles, world saves, settings, etc
