I'm also having this issue. My computer did an auto login (Which it never did prior! xD) with a newer account when I got to remoteconnect, and I can't use the "Unlink Microsoft Account" option, it always says to "Maybe check your internet connection?" I've deleted and re-downloaded the game, deleted files, signed out of everything and still no luck. Hopefully the option to simply unlink can be fixed,
