Having same issue on Window 10 PC Edition as well. Just recently when I hit the wall, I disconnected and quickly reconnected and my player died. Seems that if you are pushing up against the wall and choose to disconnect/reconnect quickly, you end up getting killed by it. Will try to replicate at later time again.

Further more, I attempted to save my worlds and then uninstall/reinstall the game. Imported the worlds back in...still same problem.
This would be in response to James, I had the same issue happen to me upon the second “disconnect/reconnect” on a LAN game. What I found out was that my supplies were randomly dropped near a river by the original map spawn. I recommend you revisit the original spawn point and sweep about 50 blocks in a circle and see if your supplies are still floating around. Not sure it’ll work, but that’s what happen in my case when I lost all my diamond tools...devastating... Please give us an update Mojang! Either game update or even a simple comment of faith!
