I completely agree - my daughter rarely plays Minecraft on the Switch anymore due to these bugs - the older version actually seems to. be a good bit more stable than the Bedrock version too. I opened this ticket two years ago and still I see people comment about the same issue every so often and get reminded of all the money we've essentially wasted on new worlds/resources that can't even be played due to fatal software bugs. As a software engineer, that makes me sad.
I agree with all of the above. It's been an issue for quite some time and there doesn't seem to be much care to fix it. My daughter has long moved away from playing the new, "nicer" version of Minecraft, to the old, stable version. It's frustrating considering the amount of money we have spent in resource packs and whatnot.
I'm not able to take a screen shot at the moment, but I discovered something that fixed the issue. I deleted most, if not all, of the "imported" worlds that came from the old version of Minecraft for the Switch; after deleting these (although the actual size footprint of the game on the Switch didn't change all that much) I was able to download all of the skin packs/worlds that I bought and wasn't able to download. I also haven't seen this size error since then either.
@Mega_Spud it seems to happen when trying to download any new world; a one of the ones I remember buying, but not being able to download, is the Roman Empire World; there are a few others that I can't recall the name of right now, but can post when I get back home to check. As a test, I deleted some of our saved worlds (which took up more space than a world we were trying to download), but still got the same error; even though I just freed up more space than the world was supposed to require and I already have over 20gb of free space on an SD card and the system itself
That sounds logical to me @Stuart Hawkins - I hope Mojang fixes this issue one day, but two years after I opened this ticket and people are still flooding in with the same issue
