I was advised, by minecraft support, to use this as a way to have my issue resolved but do these even get read?
Reading through all these similar issues it would appear that many have been "resolved" without any tangible resolutions. It also appears that this has been an ongoing issue for years without any clear or tangible resolutions.
So simply put I think Ori1666 got it right ...just....catastrophic disappointment
Windows 10 Bedrock Edition. Updated recently (sometime in the past week) - playing v1.18.31 - I do not use Realms, I play from my local computer.
I back up my worlds regularly and have done so for many months. I have never had a problem with storage prior to this happening and used to have several worlds including back ups.
I received an error when playing: "You are out of data storage and Minecraft is unable to save your progress." I did not receive any indication that I was nearly out of space.
I gave taken the following steps:
Read up on what to do and followed the directions at https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4409165790605-Managing-Data-and-Game-Storage-in-Minecraft-
Deleted a number of files and I now have less than 3GB in total storage.
Checked my drivers for any updates and updated as necessary.
*Checked Windows for any updates and updated.
*Checked Minecraft for any updates - none required.
*Rebooted my computer.
Requested assistance from Microsoft Community XBox Gaming and they suggested I contact the game developers.
ISSUE:
I can no longer save my progress (error message: "You are out of data storage and Minecraft is unable to save your progress.")
I can no longer create a copy of my world (error message: "We could not create a copy of this world because of lack of space etc.)
I can no longer access my back up world as it says, error message: "There was a problem loading this world."
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
