As of 9/2/20, I am having this issue too. I am using PS4. I bought a disc of Minecraft console edition years back and it was upgraded to bedrock. I will start the application up and it will get stuck on the red Mojang screen. Deleting the saved data in the ps4 storage area has worked.. and holding down the buttons on the controller just worked.
