Hey,

I play on XBOX SERIES X only and I don't play on realms or multiplayer servers at all. I'm a singleplayer survival player. All of the screenshots I've attached to this bug were taken 27-01-23 19:00-21:00pm.
Vesion 1.19.51 no experiments active or cheats turned on.

I've noticed this bug occur so many times during my year in my world so far. It's been a constant I can say that for sure. After reading this bug tracker and playing with all the different things myself over the past few months heres my findings.

  • Logging out and back into your world. This doesn't have to be done in quick sucession just the action of logging out can cause the rain to turn on as soon as you log back in.

  • To solve: Sleeping can very rarely fix the issue. Logging out and back in can sometimes work, tends to be more successful than sleeping. Shutting down Minecraft and loading back up entirely has a tendancy to fix it on most occassions.

  • If you have cheats TURNED ON then the only way I've found fixes this is if you use the command to change the weather to Thunderstorm.. and then back to Clear and that has a very very high fix rate.

(Please Note: All my attachements begin with RainBug)

  • Mobs will still burn during the day - I've attached a zombie in a boat to showcase this.

  • Bee's will still continue to go about their buisness - Attached a pic again to showcase this.

  • Clouds are VERY DARK which suggests 'Thunder' is turned on.

  • Copper Rods will occasionally do their little white sparkle to say that THUNDER is infact turned on. (I had to take 100+ screenshots to get the few I've attached with the sparkles!)

  • Riptide will work outside of water

  • Channeling Trident DOES NOT work on mobs even though Copper Rod indicates Thunder state is on.

  • The bait time reduction during fishing in the rain IS applied while the bug is active.

I'm no developer or coder so I know nothing when it comes fixing bugs but for me something suggests that the issue could be Thunder weather related perhaps? Perhaps when Thunder is turned on but the weather is clear and you logout it's forcing a rainy game state when you log back in? This is just my uneducated theory. I find Bedrock edition is very very difficult to get Thunder to happen correctly.

I really hope this helps and if you need any further info, pics or research I'll gladly assist!

EDIT: 10:54am 28-01-23 - Oh I should also add that I have experienced this issue when playing in another world that's just me and my girlfriend. Xbox Series X & S this time. This world isn't on realms either.. I just invite her manually (we like good render distance).

When it happened to us, I could see the rain and she couldn't see any rain at all the weather was clear. All of the above still applied like the copper rod situation, bee's and mobs burning. I was able to get the fishing bait time reduction but she wasn't.
