@smaugthegreat108 Minecraft 1.8 change how minecraft generates chunks, so all worlds behind that if upgraded will change biomes and generate ugly borders. Your comment has nothing to do with this bug.

Zombies are able to spawn on and inside of scaffolding while begin call by the gamerule spawn reinforcements.

I think is already reported, but in my opinion Mojang could check what happened in 1.16.2 pr2, because something has changed in that version.

Well, it worked perfectly in 1.15.2, 1.16, 1.16.1 and 1.16.2 pre-release 1. Every version after that stopped working (pr 2, 3 and rc1)

If it worked and now it doesn't without upgrading Java, only changing the Minecraft version, I'm gonna say is Minecraft problem.

Tested and fixed! A bit sad that if they aren't in a enclosed space still takes ages to get a job, at least is a fix for enclosed spaces!

You are right Marcono1234, only happens when Item A has no damage/enchants and item B has enchants and damage.
This does not happen in 1.15.2, only in 1.16+

Zombified Piglins that have CanPickUpLoot enable, can pick swords that are worse than their current ones, making them take swords infinitely.
That means that the 5 minutes counter to despawn can reset because they are on the ground for less than 2 seconds, u can crash a world or a server in a few hours.
More zombified Piglings dying, more swords on the ground, more noticeable this bug is.
Easy way to replicate this bug is with any gold farm that dont pick up swords.

If you dont have a system to take care of the swords, they are gonna be thousands, more zombified piglins dying in a single spot, more swords in that spot and everytime that a zombified piglin enter that spot is gonna take all at one, thats gonna happen over and over again.

It happens with all mobs, as shown by ilmango´s last video.

3 Years playing on my world, 1 month following this bug and scared, and yes, it happened to me now, 3 of my villagers just dissapear, non of them were at the chunk border, no zombies near and they had roof. All librarians with different levels. 1.15.2 vanilla.

Because is resolved. If you upgraded your world to a snapshot without a backup, then is your responsibility. Just clarifying, is resolved because if you upgrade a 1.15.2 world to the snapshot fix or newer, everything works as normal.

Im able to reproduce the bug, if you have 40 Lecterns in your villager trading hall, no matter how close the new lectern is, the villager will take several time to take it.

If im not wrong is intended, because they cant be close to each other in these specific biomes, so there are not going to be pack spawning
