Edit: I am an idiot. Sorry. I didn't realize xp mended and went into the tools. And my tools just needed a lot of xp.
Edit: Expected result: villager holds up glass block, which just shows the villager clothing through it.
Actual result: Villager holds up glass block, the glass block shows what is behind the villager.
That might be normal? I think crafting with enchantments deletes the enchantment. (If you craft two enchanted armors or tools together you lose the enchantment to make you have to use an anvil or mending to repair the armors)
This happened to me as well (I made a report) except it was the same for all my tools. Mine was on phone for the latest update. Mending didn’t repair the tools and I didn't get levels. I only would get levels while killing mobs with a weapon. (“Mending doesn’t work for tools in certain situations” is the title if this adds more information)
I do believe it is a bug somewhere in the code and can be reproduced, and I will try to duplicate it. If I can find evidence I will put it below.
Continued: it is a vanilla world I have played in survival for quite some time.
I have rather limited time that I can play Minecraft (I am a child), so I can’t test this in different versions or under different circumstances. If anyone can test this please update when it occurs and such.
