For me, the bug only seems to reset after relaunching the game (reloading the chunks, /reload, reloading textures, and reloading the world all did not work). When exactly the bug happens seems arbitrary: it happened 22/40 times I launched the game, with no discernible pattern.
Other observations:
The bug seems to only happen with slimes, and not allays (which also contain translucent pixels).
The bug seems to only make the opaque layers of the slime invisible when viewed through the translucent outer layer. This can be confirmed by using a resource pack to make part of the outer layer fully transparent (The inner parts are visible through the transparent pixels, but not the translucent ones).
The per-pixel translucency from the Fabulous! graphics setting has no effect on the bug.
Additionally, the spawner bug seems to be a separate issue from the slime bug, as I’ve had both bugs occur independently of each other.
Can confirm.
