If I do delete it, when I restart it goes through the whole update introduction and ms account announcement again, like it's the first time I've played since the update. Is the website screen supposed to go away once accounts are connected or do you have to back out?
12-21-19, still crashes after ms account log in. Have deleted, redownloaded, restarted, nothing. I have noticed in saved data management there are 2 save data files, one 25 mb and one 5 mb. After the crash the 5 mb is corrupted. I tried backing it up and deleting it but no success.
Did both, still crashes
Ah. It's happened 5 times in the last couple hours. Really wanna play. No issue on any other platform.

I still crash as well after 2 updates
I've given up and just deleted Minecraft PS4. Maybe I'll re download it when and if they fix it.
