This world sync bug must be caused by the missing local state folder for minecraft after the 1.19.31 update for xbox. Which also causes world loss and corruption. The files for the updated game are missing. This is the issue everyone on Xbox is facing. Duplicate game tiles, sync issue, world loss.
See if you can retrieve the world files from the pre update local state folder. If you haven't cleared them they should be there to save to a thumb drive. You can potentially save your world.
The bug has something to do with the missing local state files that occur after installing the update. The local state files that exist are for the game before the update. Missing local state for the updated game causes sync issue and world loss.
Whatever you do DO NOT clear local saves until you copy the world files to a thumb drive. Use ADV Files full trust to access the packet folder and copy those to any where but the Xbox for safe keeping until this bug sync issue is fixed. Load the worlds to pc or Android bedrock to test if you want. But save the files or you will definitely lose them like everyone else here.
This problem with the worlds and syncing must have something to do with the missing local state files on the Xbox consoles.
I posted a step by step photos on my reported issue on what I did to save my worlds. The sync bugs on xbox are still there but it saved the precious worlds for me. That's really all that matters.
I would seriously recommend using a file explorer for xbox and save your world files to a thumb drive before you open the updated game...
Same here. I think this is why there are so many missing world and sync issues going on. Luckily I saved those files before doing the clear local saves they recommended and resetting console and reinstall. I was going to paste the worlds back but the folder has just disappeared. I was able to transfer back to xbox from pc using realms and backup download option.
It went backwards with the photos but I put a step by step on how I was able to retrieve the worlds from XBOX One S console. I must have made a dozen backups by now. However there is still a sync issue remaining on the console. I have also found that the package folder I had used previously is gone after I reset the console and reinstalled the game. I think the bug we are facing is the update changing the save location? Either way this is how I saved my worlds. I also had to get realms to get the world back on to the xbox since there is obviously not any other way to do so.
As long as you haven't cleared local saves or reset the console the files should still be there in the folder to copy and save. You have to get a adv files full control to find the files on the Xbox. Copy those world files at all costs if you want to save your worlds. And this is my fix since no one would help me I helped myself. I can walk you through it if needed.
This isn't a fix. It's a way to save your hard earned worlds like my 5 year old one. They were on the Xbox one s. I listed how I was able to salvage my worlds from xbox and move them to pc and phone and then once safe created a realm and put them back on Xbox. Still unable to sync on Xbox though. That's where the bugs live...
If you haven't reset or cleared local saves I found a way to get the worlds.
Do not reset console or clear local saves until you copy the files.
I added ADV Files (full trust) and copied all of my worlds from the folder. I used a tutorial to find the files on the xbox. I copied them to a thumb drive that I had formatted on my pc. I then pasted the worlds into the minecraftworlds folder on my pc and my phone.
The worlds work perfectly on both the pc and the phone. I then created a realm and uploaded the worlds to the realm and then back to the Xbox. Now I have backups everywhere.
There is still a world sync issue to cloud, so basically no cloud saves until they fix the bug.
They are no longer using the old folder to store the world files on the xbox or there is an issue with it saving because I wanted to paste the worlds back into the packages folder I had previously gotten them from but it was no longer there maybe that's where the bug comes from?

AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\
The packages folder is no longer listed.
Does anyone solve the problems or just mark as resolved duplicated? I can't find any actual resolutions on here at all?
Yes the sync world issue is the same as the other one but they did not experience data loss. I lost all the worlds in the cloud and locally. I would not call this issue resolved at all.
Any resolution for this? I have the same problem.
Whatever you do don't reset console or clear local saves until the worlds are copied anywhere but the xbox.
I have exactly the same problem. I lost absolutely everything on the xbox one. The game is stuck in an endless sync cycle. Even after following all troubleshooting steps.
I was however able to get advanced files for xbox and transfer the worlds from the packets/world saves folder and copy them to a thumbdrive and recover them on my phone and pc minecraft. Unfortunately the pc and phone versions run slow or not at all for me. It would be nice if I could just transfer them back to xbox but that is impossible I guess.
If possible at least you may be able to save the worlds for a time when xbox minecraft is fixed using the same method I did.
The update creates duplicate tiles and local state folder issue. Backing up the world files would be smart if they are there to retrieve at all.
