As noted on other linked issues eg MCPE-142036 (but adding here for completeness),
works ok on 9th and 10th gen kindle fire.
I have 2x 7th gen kindle fire and one 9th gen.
crash to desktop as described by OP on both 7th gen tablets but not the 9th gen tablet.
