I have also found this bug, on xbox one.. I built a castle complex, added villagers after converting them from zombie villagers. Then I went to an existing town to steal the bell. I picked it up and now it is stuck in the inventory slot. I cannot even move it to another slot, or the hot bar, and so it cannot be placed...
will now go to another village to try for the stack of two.
Confimed, stack of two resolved the problem.. no idea why, but it works
