Bell stuck in inventory

Does anyone know if this affects 1.14 beta?

Confimed, stack of two resolved the problem.. no idea why, but it works

Stack of two does not fix the issue on a Survival world.

Just loaded up the 1.14.4 beta on Windows 10 with the world that had the bell stuck. The bell was placeable again.

I also have this issue in my 1.13 world on Windows 10, with a stack of 3 bells collected from another village. I am attaching a video of the glitches. 

UPDATE:

Not shown in the video, but trying to replace bells with another item in the hotbar makes that item glitch out and disappear as well.

Hunter I had that issue too. The item disappears from its slot but its actually still there but invisible. If you click around back and forth between the invidible item and bell it comes back. Just more information.

First I tried to steal another bell to solve this. Then I bought a new bell from one of the traders. Result? 3 bells was stuck. I gave up and closed the game-window with the "x" up in the  right corner instead of using the "Save&Quit"-button. Changed my mind and logged in once again. And viola!  All 3 bells finally was unlocked. Now one of them rest in it's new location, the last two is placed safely in a chest! 😃

This issue is still happening in 1.13.0 on Xbox.

Mined a bell in my village to move it using an iron pickaxe, and when I picked it up it moved to an available inventory slot.... however clicking on it did not allow me to move it or grab it, and since it wasnt on my hotbar I couldnt place it. 

My fix was to go and mine another bell, this then stacked on the first and I was able to move them both to the hotbar. Once on the hotbar I could place both normally

I'm on windows, not xbox. Version 1.13.0. I have tried picking up other bells, and they are all stacking in the same spot in my hotbar. I cannot use that slot at all. For example, sometimes i harvest with a fish in my hand... I cannot with the bells that are stuck in my hotbar. I can't climb into bed if the bells are in my hand. I tried placing (instead of "y-ing") a bell i have stored in a chest into a different slot, and i can place that one just fine. I now have four stacked and stuck. Haha you'd think i would have learned my lesson after the first two.

Yeah I’m going through the same thing right now!! I tried to swap it out with a diamond shovel and the game completely ate the shovel (I already thought that would happen) but hey why not give it a go. Seems we’re all desperate here. I’m happy it’s not stuck in my main hot bar but I’ve experienced so many failed attempts that it just needs to go

Solution: Put all your important things on you in a chest, then make a three by three of hoppers and jump on to them from high above. You'll drop your bell when you die and as long as you have a shulkerbox or a chest connected to the hoppers the bell will be in the chest. Or you could kill yourself in lava and burn the bell. the choice is yours. Yeah, for me a stack of bells worked (getting 3 more in my inventory). But this should work also.

On nintendo switch you can't mine, place, or hit with it broke my minecraft world I had spent 45 hours on. PLEASE FIX THIS IT IS THE WORST

I'm on 1.13 Android, and I tried to move a bell in a village but now it's stuck in my inventory. I can't move it to another slot, place it, or drop it.

Provided notes and video. This bug allows for duping of duel wield items.

Tested the stuck inventory item by dying and picking the bugged bell back up, and it was still bugged, but now in a new slot.

The only way to remove the item from your inventory is to die and to avoid picking the bell back up and allow it to despawn naturally. 

once it's glitched, you have to die to get rid of the bell, but if you break all the blocks it's attached to, it should drop normally, it at least worked for me...

Having the same issue, for me the bell is stuck in a hotbar slot.

Yup, I have the same bug too. Luckily I made a backup before it happened but still have the glitched world saved as another. Odd.

Side issue, if I click and hold on that stuck bell there's a green bar that fills up above it. WTH is that?? Also, WHO WILL RID ME OF THIS TURBULENT BELL?

Click and hold makes that green bar come up on a lot of items, no idea why.

The green bar is another way to grab a partial stack, i.e. click and hold bar 1/4 of the way will give you 1/4 the stack. Also can confirm this is still an issue after 1.13.1 hotfix, not that it was supposed to fix it but it didn't. Better kiss that hotbar slot goodbye for now...

I am having it still happen to me as well but now its in a chest and i can't get it out and i was using it for an iron farm oof. had to get another one but i just hope it didn't break the farm because of how it was set up in the video

I'm having the same problem on PC. Found a bell, hacked it down with pickaxe to bring it home, got home and tried to place it, only to realize it won't move from it's inventory slot. A lot of other items were glitching at the time, but a complete reboot of game and PC seems to have fixed that, but the bell is stubbornly still broken. I've spent days now trying to build this village up, I don't want to abandon the world now!

We've had this issue in my realm. Only thing to "fix" it is to collect a few more bells. Initially 2 picking up two bells fixed it, but I've had to find 4 bells finally rid them of my inventory.

If you guy's are looking to get rid of an already glitched bell, you need to jump from somewhere really high up and die. If you're hoping to save the bell for the next update in case they fix it, you need to die over a hopper connected to a chest instead. If you still want to interact /place bells, you can one, buy one from a villager, or two, mine all of the blocks that the bell would be able to connect to so it will drop unglitched without having to mine it.

This is still very prevalent on Minecraft for Windows 10. It appears actually mining the bell is what causes the issue. As the first bell that I traded from a villager did not have any issues. However the second bell we got we mined from a village...sure enough it was stuck. So I went back to where I placed the first bell, mined it, now it is stuck too. 

I play on pc and l realise that I also cannot drop the bell so , l restart Minecraft but however l could not move the bell or drop it after resetting  so l had to kill myself and carefully pickup my stuff up . This is the second time that this  happened to me , I hope it will be fixed.

This is affecting me also. I have no intention of dying with 26 levels, guess i'm stuck with it until the next update. I hope the villagers don't need a bell for it to be considered a village, that was my only one.

I play on Xbox one bedrock edition. I mined the bells, they dropped and are now stuck in my inventory. Also, I can't open doors or push buttons while they're selected. Being stuck in my hotbar limits an already limited inventory space and is making it difficult to play. Thank you for your efforts. 

I can't drop or place down the bell that I mined in my village

I was able "fix" the bell by placing a different one hanging and broke the block it was hanging from so the bell falls. it added to my inventory with the stuck bell so it showed I had two and then I was able to move them and place them. this was in windows 10. didn't have to die. good luck

Just happened to me on Windows 10 last night.  I had to die to get rid of it taking a second bell off another village did nothing but give me 2 bells! 

Iv got the same problem playing on android  pocket edition reported it multiple time and hasent been fixed

The same thing happened to me. I'm playing on Windows 10 on my laptop. I mined the bell with a silk touch diamond pickaxe because I didn't know if I had to or not. It went into my inventory and I didn't think about it. When I went to take it out of my inventory I couldn't. When I clicked on it the bell would glitch and show that there were two bells but I couldn't move it. I tried to move it by putting different objects into the bell slot but it just made them disappear. The bell image was in that slot but when I clicked on it the other item showed up. But when I tried to place the item I had just taken out of the bell slot in any other slot it would disappear and would be back in the bell slot. Or it would be in the slot I placed it but there was no image on the slot, when I clicked the same slot again the item would just appear on my cursor. I couldn't drop the bell or the other items that had went into the bell slot by using my drop item shortcut or dragging outside of my inventory.
I killed myself by falling from high up to see if I could pick it up after I died. I picked it up again but it was still glitched. It was still showing that there were two bells when I clicked on it and it couldn't be moved in any way or dropped. I tried again just because and the bell disappeared.

This same thing happened to me as well on iOS. I can’t do anything with it, and it is a major inconvenience. It just keeps going to the same spot, I can’t move it.

Same happened to me on Windows 10. However, I managed to fix the issue by picking up another bell while the first one was still in my inventory. Doing that fixed it - I was able to drop/place/move it once again.

I found how to remove the bell from inventory. Keep your all items from the inventory into a chest. If u can go creative mode and write in commands /clear. This will work. Keep your items in a chest first because will remove all items from your inventory. 😃👍

Yeah I came to the same problem my bell gets stuck in my inventory and no matter if I bought it or silk touched it it gets stuck in that one slot so I tried to drown myself and went back to the location to find the bell and after picking it up it gets stuck in my hot bar I even rest the game, uninstalled/reinstalled, and soft reset my iPad an nothing

I am also getting this issue on Bedrock on Windows 10 (latest update for both Windows and Minecraft)

Same issue on my realms server.  Hope this gets fixed quickly

warning!! Do Not bulk make items that can overwrite into the ghost bell slot!!! Otherwise, all crafting will stop working. It will look like you are making items and you will consume resources, but no resulting craftable item will be made or visible

Also just started happening on my Switch version on 1.13.1.

Everything was seemingly normal, I was even able to move from the hotbar where it plopped into, to the normal inventory and then it just stopped being able to be moved.

Forgot to mention it wasn't Silk Touch like I see others mentioning. Was a Fortune III, Unbreaking III, Mending I, Efficiency V "Fortuna" named Diamond Pickaxe. Also, don't know if it's important but I accidentally rang it right before picking it up so the villagers were in the process of scurrying. Not sure if that matters.

Last night I was attempting to repopulate an abandoned village I had repaired (Xbox One, survival, peaceful) and the villagers I had kidnapped from another village kept running away from instead of into the village - I thought I would move the bell closer to where I was getting them off the boat and it was then that I experienced the issue with the bell being stuck in my hotbar. I could not move it within my inventory, nor into a chest and I could not place it. I tried to swap places with a shovel and also had the disappearing act. It (the shovel) reappeared when I tried to move a different item (sword). I used a plain stone pickaxe to break the bell.
Today I copied the world and switched it to creative and hitting X to clear the hotbar did not work. I was able to remove all the items from the hotbar individually, except for the BELL. I still cannot place it or move it in the hotbar in creative mode.

This only seems to affect ‘old’ worlds at the moment 

I’m playing on the switch BUT it’s almost impossible to remove the bell from inventory.

The only way to remove it is to:

1. REMOVE all items from inventory into a chest or something 

2. die

3. Just don’t pick up the bell (or just burn it) until the bug is fixed (or wait until it’s fixed)
   I hope I helped you with the issue, this method isn’t that great (you lose the bell) but hoped I helped somebody.🙂

It happens on Windows 10 Version too!!!

This has also hapenet to me in windows 10 edition. Please fix this problem fast, i was going to use the bel to complete my iron farm. 

Yeah, I'm having this issue right now in repairing an abandoned village.  I play on Windows 10 version, too.  I'm not really keen on the dying part but if that works, I'll do it.  Is there any idea when the bug will be fixed?

Sorry, we have no way of knowing. We don't get any status or progress reports for Bedrock bugs.

Had a bell stuck in my inventory when I broke a chest in order to move it. It dumped all its contents which included six bells in a stack. When I picked up all the items, I now had a seven stack of bells in my inventory. Placing the chest, using it and then shift-clicking on the bell stack moved the entire stack into the chest, including the stuck bell. And Epstien didn't kill himself. Not sure if any part of that is necessary, but at least the damn bell is out of my inventory. 

Yeah this is literally happening to me rn. I have no idea how to fix it. Guess I’m fighting the ender dragon with a bell in my 8th hotbar slot.

I am playing on a apple ipad with v1.13.3. This is a Lan multi play game with my family members. I picked up the bell last night from the town and it wont let me (move/use/place) just stuck and taking up a spot. I can't do anything with this bell.

Just get another bell. They will stack and you can then move them. Also I cannot punch press buttons or break blocks with bell in hand
