Can vouch for the above. I get this issue while just having the game open, or in singleplayer

It seems that their issue is the same as mine, yes.
They believe that their issue is caused by being in realms but it isn't the case.

how is this Works As Intended? Half my base blew up while I wasnt there because of Iron Golems + Skeletons + Creepers.
Apparently one of the core development rules (was read out during MineCon 2020):
"Bad things happen, and it's usually the player's fault". "One practical example is how iron golems ignore creepers, because otherwise the creeper would explode and destroy buildings without player interaction", Which is exactly whats happening here, just with an extra step.

Just like slime, beds, etc. Its probably going to stay this way for a while. If the player is on the edge of a block and the block beneath them has special properties, they don't work. Its a hit detection thing, not necessarily a scaffolding thing

yeah.. I just realized that. Sorry 'bout that. I always forget they need high light levels

@qmagnet I tried that, it doesn't do anything. I've tried in creative and survival, summoning them from the chat and from a command block. No difference. Pigmen are chill.

EDIT: Nevermind, I had accidentally set the value to high. All's good in the world of angry pigmen. Thanks!

So I still can't summon angry Pigmen in 1.8 release. Has this actually been fixed?

Confirmed for 1.8 release.

UPDATE: I took a closer look at the build, and realized I had used un-tethered tripwire hooks as decoration on the inside, opposite of the trapdoors that were flipping. I use them so rarely for redstone work I forgot they are technically redstone devices. Although, like I said they were untethered and should not have have been putting out any signal, yet they were still causing the trapdoor on the other side of the block to flip over (Not right away mind you, but gradually, like a BUD switch sort of thing, don't ask me how, but it is), so that mystery is solved, however I don't think tripwire hooks are supposed to behave like this. So that might be a seperate bug altogether?

Front and rear views. There isn't anything around to set them off, the only redstone in the entire build is 2 lamps in the towers, and the trapdoors around those are the only ones not acting up. Otherwise the trapdoors around the edge walls will slowly flip down, and when I try closing them, other ones around the build will flip, acting almost as if there's a limit on how many trapdoors can be in a closed position at once, if that makes sense.

Forced crash report, as requested.
