Thanks for the tip Garrick! I've finally got Minecraft working again for my son. For anybody looking to try this, it looks like the profile you make has to have Google Play Games connected to the same email address you own Minecraft under. I'm pretty sure what's going on with my son's main profile is that it's connected to a different email, which used to be fine but then suddenly wasn't anymore. Again thank you so much for that Garrick, my son was so excited to finally be able to play Minecraft again. He hasn't been able to play on his profile since at least October x_x

I can't speak for Anne, but i can say that I've got a Samsung Galaxy tab A (sm-T350) running Android v 7.1.1, and I've gone through the "clear cache, clear data, uninstall Minecraft, restart tablet just in case, then reinstall Minecraft" process a dozen times since the latest update and it still doesn't work on my son's profile.

Finally got the 1.2.5.52 update. Unfortunately, even after clearing the cache/data, uninstalling, and then installing a fresh copy of Minecraft with the newest update today, the app is still throwing up the same error message whenever I'm on my son's profile. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet.

any ETA on when everybody will see the 1.2.5.15 update?

I am still having this issue on my Samsung Tab A, but even though my version of Minecraft says it is fully updated, I'm still only on 1.2.3.6.
