I am experiencing the same issue. I threw an ender pearl into an end city portal, and was spawned into nothingness. My food bar was decreasing for the first few seconds and then stopped. A friend threw an ender pearl into the same portal I used, and was spawned into the same 1x2 block of nothingness that I am in. I can't even load the realm anymore, it gets stuck on "building terrain".
