Disregard.  It's mending.  I'd close this if I could

We probably have around 50 or so named mobs in the area.  12 are villagers and the rest are assorted animals.

They were only about 30 blocks apart.  They were named in separate sessions (months apart) and had unique names.  Seems like it could be a hash table collision or something similar to me.
